CBT is an action orientated therapy focusing on the links between physical symptoms, thoughts, feelings and behaviour. CBT has been shown to improve a range of health problems, including anxiety, stress, depressed mood, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep problems and fatigue. The way we think about symptoms in certain situations tends to affect how we feel and what we do, and these reactions can in turn increase the intensity of bodily reactions.
CBT is a proven technique and the skills developed can be applied to different problems, leading to an improvement in wellbeing.
